On March 7, the Commission issued recommendations for the Member States to limit the pay gap between men and women, which remains at 16.4 percent for equal work. The Member States are requested to inform the Commission of actions undertaken on this basis, by the end of December 2015. If it is disappointed by the progress made, the European Commission may envision additional provisions.
