Following scientific analysis highlighting the negative effects that could have some prescriptions, too strict, of Directive 2004/40/EC regarding the protection against electromagnetic fields and the medical procedures appealing to MRI and on the activity of several industries, the European Commission offered, on October 26, to postpone until April 30, 2012 the deadline for the implementation of this text.
