EU: European Commission to propose communication on quality framework for socially responsible restructurings

It’s official.  The MEPs receive the Commission’s answer to the report calling for a legislative initiative on socially responsible restructurings and anticipation (known as the Cercas report).  Because there won’t a political or social consensus on the subject, the Commission will propose a “Communication establishing a Quality Framework for Restructuring and anticipation of change.”  Therefore, there won’t be a binding tool, as the European Parliament had requested but an umpteenth communication and mobilization of good practices.  (Ref.  130407)
