EU: European Parliament seeks strict framework for digital platforms’ algorithms
At a time when European member states remain divided over the status of platform workers, the European Parliament is favouring a tightening of regulation in the area, by further bolstering the presumption of salaried status proposed by the European Commission. In addition, the report approved by the Parliament on 2 February seeks new transparency obligations on data and algorithms.
