In a bid to rebuild Europe’s image that has been tarnished by Brexit and the rise in populism, the EU Commission will, on 26 April, put forward a series of proposals to strengthen the Social Europe, one of which includes paternity leave.
The EU Commission is to take up its pilgrim’s staff and on the 26 April it will propose a series of measures to relaunch the Social Europe. Announced to date:
- A communication document and recommendation on the European Pillar of Social Rights,
- A legislative proposal to improve work-life balance,
- A reflection paper on the EU Social Dimension,
- An Interpretative Communication on the EU Working Time directive (2003/88),
- A consultation with the social partners on EU Directive 91/533 on the emplo
