During a conference which took place in Brussels on May 30 and 31, 2007, European social partners from the textile, clothing, and leather sectors - Euratex and Cotance on employers' side, and the European trade union federation FSE-THC – worked on strengthening social dialogue in the new member states, as part of the initiative they launched - with the European Commission's support - "Capacity Building of Social TCL Partners". “Numerous new member states and applying countries lack efficient sectorial bipartite social dialogue structures”, noted European social partners from the sector which organized this conference on the occasion of which it parts of the 12 course of actions signed at the level of each of these countries were presented. These are courses of action jointly elaborated by social partners from each member state, as well as good practices established by member states.
