The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) called for a European day of action on November 14 against the austerity policies in force in the EU and for a Social Compact for Europe. (Ref. 120617)
In June, the ETUC’s executive committee adopted a resolution for a Social Compact for Europe (see our dispatch No. 120371), hoping to launch a great debate.
