EU: joint declaration on Telework in the insurance sector
Stemming from their 2002 Framework Agreement on Telework, the European social partners in the insurance sector have delivered this joint declaration in order to detail the implementation of telework especially via national and company collective agreements. Albeit non-binding, this declaration aims to ensure that telework, which is becoming more and more popular, is carried out in full respect of workers rights (working time, training, etc.). Signatories to the declaration also commit to discussions on improvements in working conditions and efficacy of telework.
