On October 15, the CJEU delivered a judgment in which it declares national legislation that allows an employer to order the conversion of working time from part-time to full-time without the workers’ consent is consistent with Community law.
The dispute arose from the refusal by an employee of the Italian Minister for Justice to take up full-time employment. The employer demand was in line with legislation that allows re-examination of decisions that allow part-time work.
