EU: new budget heading to fund joint actions to improve social dialogue in EWCs

Like it does every year, the European Commission published a call for proposal on “information, consultation and participation of representatives of undertakings,” which can notably be used to partly pay for joint initiatives in businesses aiming to improve social dialogue and employee participation.  (Ref.  130298)

Budget heading 04.03.03.03, published on the European Commission’s website, was allocated €7,250,000 for 2013. It will serve to “fund operations aimed at developing employee involvement in undertakings – meaning any mechanism, including information, consultation and participation, through which employees’ representatives may exercise an influence on decisions to be taken within the company – in particular by raising awareness and contributing to the application of EU law and policies in this
