The new directive on the exposure of workers to electromagnetic fields, which replaces Directive 2004/40 (never applied because of the problems it posed in the medical industry) was published in the Official Journal of the EU on June 29, 2013. The Member States have until July 1, 2016 to transpose the new provisions. (Ref. 130452)
