EU: Parliament’s employment committee ready for trilogue on EWC directive

After defining its position in March, the European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs voted on 3 December to open negotiations for an agreement on the revision of the European Works Council Directive. In the meantime, parliamentarians were re-elected in June’s European elections. Trilogue talks are due to begin shortly, with the Council of the EU having defined its negotiating mandate the same month. The positions of the two institutions diverge on the right of injunction –
