On April 8, the European social partners in urban public transport adopted joint recommendations aimed at increasing the share of female employees as well as a joint declaration on training of bus drivers. Today gathered within the working group of the European sectoral committee for road transport, debates are taking place to set up a European sectoral social dialogue for this sector.
European social dialogue in urban public transport between the European social partners (the ETF trade union federation and UITP for employers) dates back to 2001. There are talks about the possibility of turning this working group into a true European sectoral social dialogue committee.
