The list of sectoral social dialogue committees is extended with the launching, on March 17, of the European social dialogue committee for the professional football sector. One of the social partners' aims is to define minimum requirements for players' contracts with their clubs. (Ref. 080200)
The first meeting of the new European social dialogue committee in the professional sector will gather representatives from the Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL) and the International Federation of Professional Footballers’ Associations – Division Europe (FIFPro) which represents 28.000 players. They will sign the rules of procedure during this ceremonial opening in the presence of UEFA and of the EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities,
