The European Commission adopted, on March 8, a European strategy to promote equality between genders in its cooperation policy. It contains measures in five key fields: governance, employment, education, health and domestic violence. (Ref. 070224)
The Communication of the Commission on equality between genders and on the strengthening of women’s role in development draws the broad lines of the European strategy to promote equality between genders in this area.
