European co-legislators have reached an agreement on the proposal to revise the European Works Council Directive, which aims to strengthen workers' rights to consultation.     One year after the Parliament and the Council adopted their positions, the co-legislators reached a compromise agreement in trilogue talks overnight on 20 and 21 May regarding the revision of the European Works Councils Directive, proposed by the European Commission in January 2024.
