France: 72 days to the introduction of the single database for employee representatives

A discreet theme of the labor market reform of June 2013, the single database for economic and employment information (Base de Données économiques et sociales Unique, BDU) is a technical and legal practical exercise.  By June 14, businesses with 300 workers or more will have to have introduced this new media for informing and consulting works councils regarding the company’s strategic trends.  Other businesses have until June 14, 2015.

This single database (BDU), introduced by the labor market reform of June 2013 (see article No. 130319) to serve as a basis for informing and consulting works councils regarding businesses’ strategic trends (article L 2323-7-1 of the Labor Code) must be introduced before June 14, 2014 in businesses with 300 workers or more. It has to be constantly available for the members of the central WC, of the committee for hygiene, security and working conditions, and for union representatives (article
