Very criticized by trade unions, a law about the prevention of conflicts and the organization of the service in the event of a strike in the public service of daily ground transportation of people introduces a minimum service as from January 1, 2008. (Ref. 070752)

  • Conflict prevention. In companies in charge of a public service mission of daily ground transportation of people, handing in a strike notice will only be possible after prior negotiation between the employer and trade unions. The organization and the outcome of the negotiation are subject to rules set by the branch or company framework agreement and, if no agreement is reached by January 1, 2008, by a decree.
