Drivers for ride-hailing services such as Uber have struck a deal whereby conditions for their suspension will be regulated by collective bargaining, just a few months after couriers for delivery platforms achieved the same feat. An agreement was reached on 18 September between employers’ organisations and five of the seven trade unions representing self-employed drivers in the ride-hailing sector.
