In an initiative that pre-dated the Covid-19 pandemic, EDF Group's energy services subsidiary Dalkia embarked on a push to reduce the level of email correspondence among the 2,500 people employed by its branch in the Île-de-France region. With the help of start-up Mailoop, Dalkia has reduced the volume of emails sent and ensured an improved application of the right to disconnect. The two companies were handed the top prize for best innovation in human resources at the Newwork RHévolution event held on 5 July in Paris.
Upon taking over at the helm of Dalkia’s Ile-de-France branch in 2018, Benoît Guiblin wanted to implement a new company initiative to “restore meaning”. One of the new director’s main focuses was to close the digital divide. “The fear was that the teams of technicians working on the ground would lose their footing as tools and operating methods became increasingly digital,” he explains, adding: “We started by trying to support them.” The company called on volunteer ambassadors within the group
