Until the summer, French social partners from both the private and public sectors will hold talks on labour, employment and pensions, with the aim of developing shared positions to inform public debate ahead of the 2027 presidential election, despite the absence of employers’ body Medef.
The first day of workshops at the conference on labour, employment and pensions took place on 30 January 2026, on the theme of professional dialogue. This conference, initiated by Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu after the announcement of the suspension of the 2023 pension reform, is a series of six meetings, one per month until June.
