France: new agreement introduces “interim permanent contract”

The CFDT, CFE-CGC and CFTC said they were going to sign the agreement on secure professional paths for agency workers negotiated with the temporary employers’ organization, Prism’emploi.  The CGT and FO refuse to sign.  Launched with the primary objective of avoiding unemployment contribution for some short contracts, which came into force on July 1, this negotiation led to the creation of an “interim permanent contract” which will allow the few temporary workers that enjoy it to avoid feeling the hazards of their assignments on their everyday life.  (Ref.  130478)
