The agreement signed by Renault and industrial workers’ federation Industriall Global Union in April on remote work, which took the form of an addendum to an existing global framework agreement (see article n°12504), has now been implemented in France, after three trade unions - CFDT, FO and CFE-CGC – penned an ambitious agreement on 10 June to extend remote work.
Remote work, which is to constitute a central pillar of efforts to bring “new forms of work organisation” to Renault, will be open to staff on permanent contracts as well as those on fixed-term, temporary and work-study contracts, who will be able work remotely in line with one of a range of formulas up to three days per week.
