The preparatory meeting ahead of the social conference on labour and pensions, which is set to decide on the pension system model and the funding thereof, was held on 4 November at France's labour ministry. Three other topics are also to be addressed by the social partners: working conditions, skilled employment and the retention of experienced employees. On the employers' side, Medef, France's largest employer federation, has announced that it will not participate in the social conference.
