The preparatory meeting ahead of the social conference on labour and pensions, which is set to decide on the pension system model and the funding thereof, was held on 4 November at France's labour ministry. Three other topics are also to be addressed by the social partners: working conditions, skilled employment and the retention of experienced employees. On the employers' side, Medef, France's largest employer federation, has announced that it will not participate in the social conference.
The preparatory meeting for the social conference proposed by French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu on 14 October, following the suspension of the 2023 pension reform, took place on 4 November.
