In order to revive discussions on the evolution of the French pension system, after the departure of the CGT and FO trade unions and the U2P on the employers' side, the social partners still at the negotiating table agreed on 10 April on a new roadmap, seen by mind RH. Its priority is the restoration of financial equilibrium. The social partners have therefore agreed to broaden the current debate, which is focused on the retirement age, and to "re-examine" funding for social protection.
The three trade unions (CFDT, CFE-CGC and CFTC) and the employers’ organisations (Medef and CPME), which are still participating in the consultation on pensions requested by the new Prime Minister in January after the rejection of the reform adopted two years ago, agreed on a series of objectives on 10 April, which open up new avenues of work to restore the financial equilibrium of the French pay-as-you-go system.
