Insurance giant Allianz and railway operator SNCF have recently struck company agreements to provide sustainable transport packages for their employees in France. The scheme, approved in 2019, allows for an annual sum exempt from contributions to be granted for the use of sustainable transport options such as cycling and carpooling.
The agreement signed on 9 December 2024 extends the sustainable transport scheme, launched in 2020 for employees of the insurer Allianz (7,500 in France) except for sales representatives with company car. The deal, which was revised in 2023, granted a lump sum of up to €500 per year for the use of bicycles, electric vehicles such as scooters as well as travel by public transport without a subscription.
