On July 22, the La Poste group subsidiary signed an amendment to the social agreement that has bound it since 2017 with the global services union federation UNI Global Union. It brings a strong commitment to overseeing subcontracting with the limitation to a single level and the promotion of decent wages among service providers.
While the unions believe that the agreement signed in 2017 has improved working conditions, they wanted to “go further”. They requested new negotiations with the management of La Poste group’s delivery and e-commerce subsidiary (57,000 employees). These concluded on July 22 with the signing of an addendum to the global agreement which, since 2017, has enshrined the company’s compliance with the ILO’s fundamental rights at work and the OECD’s Guiding Principles.
