According to BIBB figures, around 476,000 apprenticeship contracts were signed in 2025, around 10,300 fewer than in the previous year (-2.1%). …Germany: apprenticeship openings fall sharply in manufacturing and chemicals
From 1 January 2026, Dutch collective agreements for temporary employment agencies will alter the employment conditions of temp workers. Agencies will be required to pay these workers at least the same as permanent staff in equivalent roles at the client company. The move comes ahead of a parliamentary vote on broader legislation to protect 'flexible' workers, which is currently under debate.
