Germany: big bosses fight for their remuneration

A bill which “assaults” the economy. Discussed since February 2009, the bill on managers’ income in Germany is about to go into Parliament. Because of the economic crisis and coming elections, this issue is rather delicate and the law should be adopted before the summer break, not after the elections in September. Some provisions, still under discussion between the two parties of the coalition, should be “adjusted” this week. Others are already final. Here are the points leading to consensus within the coalition:
