Since 1 April, recreational cannabis has been legal for adults in Germany. In addition, limited production by associations will be possible from 1 July 2024. Although legal, cannabis still has psychotropic effects that are incompatible with driving and working. The legislator has just decided that the maximum threshold for driving will be 3.5 nanograms of THC (the main psychoactive substance contained in cannabis) per millilitre of blood.
