the fourth round of wage negotiations, the Deutsche Telekom phone company, and the Ver.di services union decided, on February 28, 2009, to launch a conciliation procedure and asked Henning Voscherau, the former president-minister of the city-state of Hamburg, to take the role of mediator. The social-democrat has until March 13th to come up with a compromise. Until then, no strike is authorized. (Ref. 090246)
