Just before the summit on training and skills organized by the Federal government on October 22, the national employment federation has doubled its budget for professional training and is launching a public campaign to promote training for older and relatively unskilled workers in German firms. In launching its campaign called “Get ahead through Training” (Weiter durch Bildung) the employment agency also disclosed the results of a survey among 1,000 HR managers with the objective of measuring the advantages of vocational training in these firms for older and limited-skills employees.
