Germany continues to expand and diversify its initiatives to attract skilled foreign labour from outside the EU. In mid-March 2026, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) launched "WE-Fair", an alliance at the intersection of the business world and development policy for skilled labour recruitment. At the heart of the project is the implementation of a "win-win" training system for both partner countries and Germany.
