It’s been a busy week for the German government, which launched the debate on corporate tax reform after announcing the introduction of a parental salary and the passing of a wealth tax on 1st January 2007 (cf. our dispatch n°06430). At the end of the week, contradictory information in this reform planned for 2008 was issued from the Ministry of Finance, which mentioned the possibility of reducing the tax rate to less than 30% (currently 39%) as from 2007.
