In 2019, the German insurer identified that it was running the risk of not having enough managers specialized in IT and organization management over a five to ten year horizon. Instead of recruiting the skills, HR teams set up a 10-month internal reskilling programme, the success of which was evidenced by the results of the first ‘2020 intake’.
