The federal union of German industry (Bundesverband der deutsche Industrie - BDI) and the Confederation of German employers federations (Bundesvereinigung der deutschen Arbietgeberverbände - BDA) presented, on November 2nd, their structures' connection modalities as from January 1, 2007. The goal is to have shared presidency, sectorial and administrative cooperations, as well as a single representation in Brussels. (Ref. 061102)
From January 1st 2007, the BDI and BDA will have a shared presidency and managers’ office, as well as a single representation in Brussels. Dieter Hundt, chair of the BDA, will be the first chair of the shared entity which will keep – for an undefined period – acting under both names (BDA and BDI.)
