ust avoided an unlimited strike of its cabin crew. After tough negotiations (see our dispatch No. 090072), the German airline’s management, the Ufo cabin crew union (Unabhängige Flugbegleiter Organisation e.V) and the Ver.di services’ union reached, on march 10, 2009, a wage agreement for 14 months for the 16.000 cabin crew. The management claims this agreement restores “tariff unity” within the company. (Ref. 090275)
