On April 4, the management of the reinsurance group and the special negotiating body renewed the agreement establishing a European Works Council, initially signed in 2009. The first deal already included the changes brought about by the recast EWC directive. The new agreement makes a few changes within the framework of the renewal and in line with the French transposition text. We are publishing it for our readers with a benchmarking approach.
Gras Savoye’s EWC (CEEGS) was established in 2009 (see article No. 091022).
Composition. Now, the agreement provides that each country employing at least 5 people will be represented at the EWC (before, a representative was planned as soon as the group had a subsidiary in a country). An additional seat will be awarded for every group of workers accounting for 10 percent of the total number of employees. These representatives have a 4 years’ term.
