Facing the escalation of drugs and alcohol at work and of its consequences on attendance and productivity, a recent study by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) advises to established appropriate policies in companies to face these problems. (Ref. 070794)

The study, entitled “managing drug and alcohol misuse at work” and published last week by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (the research body for those involved in management) relies on the results of a study carried out among 505 human resources professionals in organisations employing a total of more than one million people.
