On 24 March the UK government announced the implementation of another of its sector deal agreements called the ‘North Sea Transition Deal,’ the goal of which is to safeguard North Sea oil and gas jobs while the U.K. tries to achieve its target of carbon neutrality by 2050. ‘High-skilled oil and gas workers and the supply chain will not be left behind in transition to a low carbon future,’ the government promised.
