Great Britain: Amazon UK offering employees employment contracts that are adapted to the school term time calendar
Called ‘Term-time contracts’, these employment contracts mean UK staff (75,000) do not work during their children’s school holidays. This new arrangement is currently only available for staff at the company’s ‘fulfilment’ centres (warehouses,) but it is due to be rolled out across its service and delivery centres in the UK throughout the course of the year.
