Great Britain: BBC managers gave up their bonus, because they failed to reach their racial diversity goals

All of the BBC's big bosses, that it the nine leaders of the executive committee, just gave up almost 600.000 euros of bonus, despite the results which gave them this right, because they did not fulfill the racial diversity goals in the company. (Ref. 070583)

The BBC wanted, at the end of 2007, to employ 12.5% of black and Asian employees, 7% of people coming from these ethnic minorities in senior officer posts, and 4% of disabled people. These goals will not be reached, especially since hirings are frozen as part of a dismissal plan for 3.500 people.
