25% of British employees have left their job or intend to do so because of the lack of vocational training and thus of career-advancement opportunities in their company, according to a study published in London. (Ref. 06841)
The survey conducted by City & Guilds – an organization of promotion of trades and vocational training, relating to 1.200 people – shows that British employees expect to have career-advancement opportunities in their company. In the trades which are reached via vocational training, for example in the construction field or in services, employees are the most disadvantaged when it comes to continuous training.
