In order to fight more efficiently against discrimination, the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) and the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) merged into one, the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC,) on October 1, 2007. (Ref. 070844)
Three commissions in one – As planned by the Equality Bill (see our article No. 0691), the new Equality and Human Rights Commission was created at the beginning on October, bringing the three commissions dedicated to equality together (Equal Opportunities Commission – EOC, Commission for Racial Equality – CRE et Disability Rights Commission – DRC).
