UK building materials retailer IBMG (Independent Builders Merchants Group) is offering a staff discount on its insulating and draught-proofing materials to help employees save money on their electricity bills. The initiative forms part of a series of anti-inflation measures the company launched at the end of December to support staff amid the current energy crisis.
Staff at IBMG (> 2,000 employees) will be able to benefit from an ‘employee purchase scheme (EPS)’, which is essentially an internal discount scheme designed specifically to respond to the energy crisis. Employees in the group’s 170 or so outlets will be able to take advantage of discounted prices on a wide range of energy-saving building materials, such as insulation and draught proofing.
