Abusive layoff. Workers starting a new job on April 6 and later will be subject to the government reform extending seniority in the company from one to two years to be able to sue the employer for abusive layoff. The eligibility period opening the right to receive a written document explaining the grounds for layoff also goes from one to two years. Reporting industrial accidents. Until now, employers had to report to the Health and Safety Executive any industrial accident preventing employees from working for over three days.
