After having triggered Article 50 on 29 March and thereby launching the UK’s official exit from the EU, on 30 March the government published its White Paper on Legislating for the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union that clarifies how it intends to adopt the Great Repeal bill and convert the body of European law into UK law. This is in order to guarantee continuity for companies and employees, even if further ahead the UK Parliament can amend these laws after it exits the EU.
