Great-Britain: with the first signs of recovery, private sector workers are starting to reject pay austerity

Over the summer and into the autumn in the private sector, a number of disputes (often involving industrial action) have taken place, showing that unionised workers are beginning to contest pay freezes, pay cuts and pay rises less than the level of inflation as the economy shows the first signs of economic growth. Unite members settled their long-running dispute at Molson Coors brewery after a second revised package was accepted following a strike threat. The deal comprises:
