the troika demanded the non-renewal of national sectoral collective agreements for three years to neutralize pay evolutions, and the government implemented a new series of measures, which notably provide for short-time working for 30,000 civil servants, a decrease in minimum wage negotiated at national level, and the possibility of signing company agreements without unions. The public and the private sector are calling for a general 24-hour strike today, Wednesday, October 5th. (Ref. 110592)
