Greece: unions call for a new general strike on Thursday to protest against pension reforms
On the anniversary of the radical left’s accession to power in January 2015, anger is growing across all segments of Greece’s society. The draft law on pensions that the government put to the country’s creditors for review at the start of January has attracted the harshest criticism from both private and public sector unions and they have called for an all out general strike on Thursday 04 February, the third since September 2015.
